Street Art Spotted – The Lower East Side

October 5, 2012

It’s been awhile since I last posted some street art on my blog. Lo and behold, I’ve collected more than enough snapshots as I stayed put in New York, for the most part, this past summer.

The following street art below were all spotted on the Lower East Side of Manhattan around mid to late summer of 2012.

Did you used to leave in NYC or visited a lot? Yes, it’s really hard to move away from a place like NYC… every big city I travel to, I have a bad habit of always comparing it to NYC

        I lived there for only 4 months…studied a semester there…absolutely loved it!

Wow … awesome street art!!! I really like the face on the wall with tree branches (next to last) and I Heart NY (very Banksy-esque!)

Stephen that’s my favorite too! Funny how it was behind either a Methadone clinic or a park where a lot of crackheads and drunk people were hanging out, and I didn’t realize until I was done shooting and I turned around.

I lived and worked in NY for 25 years and don’t miss it at all. But these photos might have changed my mind if I had seen them back then. Love your shots. My favorite is the I (heart) NY, believe it or not!

Paul, I especially love the I <3 NY, as well as the big face on the side of the wall. NYC has definitely changed a lot over the years. I've been here for over 18 years now and I feel the change every single day. I notice it even more when I come home from traveling.

W O W !!! I would go to New York just for these images.
I love the gooey’s with glasses, the hanging by threads woman and I love NYC. But the fact that there’s someone standing there on the first photo makes it even more poetic. My bottom dollar’s on the first photo. 😀 … esp. it relates to the word.
Sorry to compare but the images are very Banksy-inspired.

It’s nice to see any street art as our small rural town pales to this place!! I’m glad Rommel highlighted this post. Well done! <3
